Short version: we collect emails for the newsletter, pen pal submissions for the postcard exchange, and Stripe handles payment. We don't sell data. We don't share kids' info.
Email addresses (from signup forms). Pen pal postcard submissions (first name or nickname, age, city/state, experiment notes, parent email). Payment info - processed exclusively by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
Email: to send the Young Scientist Club newsletter, kit shipping updates, and scholarship proof. Postcards: to shuffle and mail them to other club members. Payment: to fulfill your order. That's it.
Pen pal submissions require a parent or caregiver to submit with their own email address and consent. We don't collect phone numbers, street addresses, schools, or full names from kids. Postcards are reviewed by a parent (Dad) before they're mailed. Nothing identifying is shared between members.
We use Stripe for payments, Cloudflare Pages for hosting, Cloudflare Workers for the signup endpoint, and an email newsletter provider. Each is subject to its own privacy policy.
If you click "Got it" on the cookie banner, we load the Meta (Facebook + Instagram) pixel so we can show you PopSciFun ads on Facebook and Instagram and measure which ads work. If you decline, no pixel loads. We never upload kids' info to ad platforms. You can change your choice any time by clearing your browser's local storage for popscifun.com.
